<p>WO-Seq: a bisulfite-free and base-resolution sequencing method based on peroxotungstate oxidation is presented for the identification of hm<sup>5</sup>C sites in the transcriptome. Combining the peroxotungstate oxidation with TET enzyme oxidation, m<sup>5</sup>C can also be detected in a procedure termed TET-Assisted WO-Seq (TAWO-Seq).</p>
