The Administration Team facilitates the processing of grant applications, research contracts and studentships, and provides support to the Principal Investigators in the administration and management of their research grants/contracts.

The Research Administration Team is responsible for the management of research grants and provides:
- Award Status Reports on a monthly basis
- Transaction lists on a quarterly basis
- Service for No-cost Extensions and Supplementary Funding Requests
- Service for Financial Reports and Audits
- Assistance with Material Transfer Agreements
- Assistance with Software Licences
- Guidance for Consultancy Contracts
- Guidance for Intellectual Property issues
Sponsor Information Sheets
The Research Grants team has created sponsor information sheets to summarise eligible and ineligible costs on grants from our main funders. Please note that these are guides - for the most up to date grant terms and conditions, please see the relevant sponsor's website.
Health and Safety Form
All research grant applications need to be accompanied by a Health and Safety form. The form needs to be completed and signed by the PI. The form will then be forwarded to the Health and Safety Officer and the Head of Department for countersignatures. Please note that the purpose of this form is to flag any high risk procedures in project proposals. It is not intended to replace safety risk assessments.
