In an article about using smartphones to fight Ebola and other diseases in Wired, a website created by Maciej Boni is mentioned. Clinics in Vietnam send daily text messages to the website containing two numbers: patients seen that day, and patients with flu symptoms. this enables outbreaks to be responded to quickly rather than waiting for monthly reports.
