In an article in the Huffington Post, Professors Francois Nosten and Nicholas Day from the Mahidol Oxford Tropical Medicine Unit discuss the emerging crisis of drug-resistant malaria in Asia. 'If resistance to artemisinin and partner drugs develop further we will see a rise in the number of malaria cases," Professor Nosten said. 'This will translate to higher numbers of severe malaria and in more deaths.'
